Is a TrackMan club fitting worth it?
A TrackMan fitting is worth it when you need to know whether equipment is actually part of the problem and which change is worth making before you buy anything.

A fitting is not a sales pitch. It is a comparison: your current clubs and ball flight against options that may produce a better result.
What TrackMan helps us measure
TrackMan gives us a baseline for speed, launch, spin, carry distance, dispersion, and strike pattern. Those numbers help separate a swing issue from an equipment issue and keep us from guessing.
What happens during the fitting
A wise man once told me that a club fitting is 50 minutes of teaching and 10 minutes of furious fitting. He was right.
We start by measuring how your current clubs perform. Before we look at anything new, I want to see the ball flight, the strike, and the numbers your current setup produces. Modern clubs are adjustable enough that a loft change, a different setting, or a small change in delivery can sometimes get you where you need to go without replacing the club.
The golfer has to deliver the club in a way that gives us something useful to fit. New technology is good, but anyone can hit a 60-yard slice no matter what driver I hand them. Sometimes the right answer is a short teaching conversation before we make an equipment decision.
That does not mean you need a perfect swing before getting fit. Your on-course patterns matter, and the equipment needs to complement your motion. TrackMan helps us organize the comparison between heads and shafts so we can see which combinations improve launch, spin, ball speed, distance, dispersion, and forgiveness against your baseline.
What counts as better
I do not recommend new clubs unless there is a measurable improvement in distance or accuracy. If a new driver picks up six yards and costs $600, that is $100 per yard. That may be worth it to one golfer and not worth it to another. The data gives us the tradeoff. You decide whether the added performance is worth the money.
